The Standard Model

This is also known as the "Quark/lepton" model. It is a  theory that explains all the hundreds of particles and complex interactions.  It is based on the following numbers of:

     quarks                                   antiquarks

     leptons (e.g. electrons)      antileptons e.g.

and a number of  also known as exchange bosons.

 Matter and Antimatter

Antiparticles look and behave just like their corresponding matter particles, except they have opposite

A matter particle has exactly the same as its antiparticle

When a matter particle and antimatter particle meet, they into pure energy
